HPHT Transformation

A woman is showing her memorial diamond ring

Natural diamonds form in underground, High Pressure and High Temperature (HPHT) environments. An HPHT press simulates this natural environment. The HPHT process begins with a small diamond seed that is placed into pure carbon sourced from personal ashes. That seed is exposed to intense pressure and heat, over 2000°C. The carbon melts and a diamond begins to form around the seed. A cremation diamond is born and starts to grow like a shining star.
